About the author
Maverick W. Maready is a composer based in the United States. Self-taught at his core, his musical education has been shaped by years of independent study and lessons with teachers abroad — but more than anything, by a deep immersion in the works of the great composers who came before him.
He began composing seriously in his early twenties, driven by a conviction that musical craftsmanship — real craftsmanship, grounded in harmony, counterpoint, and formal discipline — is not a relic of the past but a standard worth fighting for. His work is not only a direct response to a musical culture that has traded beauty for novelty but a revival of the great standards that were once so beloved.
His debut publication, 24 Preludes for Organ, was completed at age 22. In the coming years he intends to continue writing for organ and eventually expand to choir and baroque size ensembles.
